Students are expected to provide their own snacks at NES. The unfortunate reality is that some students face food insecurity and others simply forget! We know that full bellies make for better learning outcomes. Like the universal student lunch program, we want to take the stigma out of snacktime and ensure free access to all students.

100% of the funds donated to our CheddarUp Snack Fund are earmarked specifically to stock the school nurse's pantry with healthy snacks. Any NES student who needs a snack during the school day has access at no charge. Northfield PTNO members purchase snacks with the funds and restock the pantry as needed throughout the year.
